Low Maintenance Luxury
This modern family home by David Watson used close collaboration with all suppliers to meet the brief of a low maintenance, modern home that was luxurious without being ornate. The result is the Kent House.
The family home has four bedrooms and three bathrooms while still providing plenty of outdoor space and light – a challenge for a block of this size. The solution involved large floor to ceiling windows that created a direct connection to the outdoors and allowed plenty natural light to stream into the living areas.
With windows becoming a hero of the home’s design, an elegant window furnishing solution was also required to provide both luxurious textures as well as added privacy. The choice of fabrics compliment both the interior and exterior of the building thanks to the building’s monochromatic colour scheme. We collaborated with the team early on in the design process to allow for both in-built pelmets and ceiling recessed curtain tracks, allowing for a seamless look and feel.
